FIRE: THE GREAT INITIATION

Fire is a transformer whose greatness is second only to pure Light. One set of constructs is reconstructed: from dust to dust; from ash to ash. Fire can return to the Earth what once began there in its mineral base, and in that mineral base, many Elementals are wrought from every corner of the Great All—the literal Star Dust that infuses the cells of your mortal body as it exists in this moment.

We temper by Fire. We give and accept trial by Fire. Lightning is the cosmic conduit of Fire, and lava its earthly twin. Inside you, those same principles exist.

When you ‘Raise Fire’ what is meant is that you raise ‘male’ energy, or outward and expanding energy. You create a spin in your chakras and gateways that channels the Earth energies (thought of as sinking and internal) up and outward, creating a release point or valve stem that opens to the environment, in the same way as an active volcano, hot spring, geyser, or earthquake, rifting to expose core heat from the fault.

When you Raise Fire, you are setting an intention that states: I am active; I am outward; I am applying the energy of Earth and her boundless Love to the tasks before me. It is contagious and mesmerizing in the same way that Fire is mesmerizing to those who gather around it, staring into the dancing points of flame in meditation, losing time as they meld with it.

When should you Raise Fire? When there is work to be done that needs an outward push. Raise Fire when you need protection. Raise Fire to bring forward those things you discover hiding in your shadows which, now rooted out, should be destroyed. Raise Fire when you want to set a beacon to rival the stars, that can be seen in the night sky across great distances: that says, “I am here and I know this secret, and this secret knows me.”

How should you Raise Fire? Always approach the Elementals with respect. They are Live Intelligence and will be directed only as it pleases them (yes). They too, have an agenda in this dimension, and in all of the dimensions. Remember as you Raise Fire, that Fire razes. Show to Fire what you are about. Invite Fire to come along with you/You. Let It acknowledge the shelter within your body and on the grounds that you groom and protect. Keep It at your altars, and seek It by its names of respect: Quetzlcoatl; Hunalaoia; Maokecci. The personas of Fire have their faces. Use Its titles.

For what purposes do you call upon Fire? Small Fire is burning in you always. It is the engine of the Spirit, though you will see It as white, blue, or gold light. It burns Eternally and It is your Birthrite Ration, and your/Your Eternal connection to Fire. This is enough for most tasks. Let It send Its powerful filaments into Its Elementals to the perfect degree, anytime there is small work to be done. Let your Personal Fire greet and honor Its powers and forces as your ambassador. To do more, make a ritual request, at the altar when there is time, and with great and serious respect of what you ask when there is not. These are not parlor games or magic tricks. You remember the difference between the Magician and the Maige? Do not call Angry Fire or you will be burned. Call the Durga Fire, that can both create and destroy. Call that Fire that is both Benevolent Mother and Great Destroyer. Let It help you. That Fire can make you wiser and stronger. Therefore, call upon Fire for the purpose of acknowledging your Eternal and Irrevertible connection to Its Power. Let It help you with all actions external and let it be done with great thought, honor, and respect.

Is there a ritual for thanking Fire and disconnecting? Yes. Just as you would in any ritual, honor the arrival and participation of that Elemental or Deity, and give to It something that satisfies Its nature. What, for instance, does most Fire like? A reminder of Its benevolence and power. This is not ego; it is appreciation for Its contribution to Great All’s Song, for Its part in keeping things in balance. Therefore, any gift made that contains aspects of transition, balance and harmony will give pleasure to Fire: a symmetrical goblet with Its symbols cut deeply into it; berries ripened with Its colors; living sprigs that were enabled in their growth after a burning raze in the woods; ashes gained after the transition of reducing a wantonly destructive object or entity. These things say to Fire: thank you.

Successes are made through attempting. No successes are made through wishing, thinking, doubting, and non-action. Use Fire to break those cycles. Fire will give you the energy. Fire will increase your vitality. Fire is your ally, when you properly align with It. Let yourself burn. Light the candles and dance. Sweat. Raise your/Your Fire, and connect with the Eternal.

Upon the ashes of its own destruction
