TO BE SICK

2015, SICKNESS

TO BE SICK, TIME-OUT
APRIL 11, 2015

What is it To Be Sick?  What properties or forces have overcome our wellbeing, in order that we re-state ourselves To Be Sick?

Does Sickness serve a purpose?  Is it different from illness, malaise, imbalance, disease, and disability?  For purposes of today’s discussion, let us say that Sickness is the least of these, that it is the temporary and very transient condition of body, mind and Spirit to recede from its perceived state of wholeness—the being’s ability to fully engage in reciprocal activities.

To Be Sick is sometimes a Time-Out.  The physical body may need to study and learn to defend against a pathogen or invader that is new to its environment.  The emotional body may need to study and learn to respond to a condition arisen as a result of a new type of interaction.  The mental body may need to expose flaws in the rational thought as it crashes against its theretofore unexposed false beliefs.

And in the Spirit body, Sickness sometimes arises when we are revealed to be blind, deaf, dumb, and non-compassionate to our own plight and the troth of others.  Spirit suffers when we cannot hear our own Song, and when we cannot Sing it.  The Great All has created You to succeed in all things, and urges you ever forward in your own evolution.

So, To Be Sick, is necessary at certain points.  To Be Sick for extended periods creates challenges and mutations that become more and more difficult to escape.  It becomes a Master’s task to walk again once lame, while a novice will recover from a sprained ankle.

When You Are Sick, listen to your Sickness.  Look at IT.  What is that Sickness saying?

How does your mind, body, and Spirit respond to its presence?  Take what you will from this guest, bidding it welcome.  And at the eager and appropriate time, bid it go with joy.

This is not to say that Life is without challenge of long-term illness, disabilities, deformities, and serious complications of the mortal structure.  That is not To Be Sick.  The fleeting days, or repeating cycling of Sickness are tiny trials, and can be trail markers, showing you something about the path, and how you are wildcrafting upon the path.

Do you use Sickness to withdraw or make excuses?  Do you use Sickness with which to manipulate others?  Do you use Sickness in the name of Martyrdom or as some other badge of false courage?

Or do you use Sickness as a time that could serve your Self?  Do you sit in the Shade Throne and study the Light and the Dark—the Wellness and the Sickness—and see both sides of embodying your mortal form, comparing how and where you are?  Do you let Sickness’ discomfort build your compassion and grow your wisdom?

To Be Sick is a punishment only if you make it so.  It is wielded as a weapon only if you forge it thusly.  To Be Sick is a gift, a quiet time of Spirit and study, with regained wellness at its conclusion if you allow it into your Self, not closing out the Song, but Singing IT.

SHADE

2015, BALANCE, COMMINGLING

SHADE AS A CROSSROADS
APRIL 10, 2015

Sometimes, the brilliance of full Light is daunting, requiring you to stand in the Shade, where there is a blending of darkness and sun.  Is this the gray area, or a commingling?  This is dependent upon personal perception.

In order to stand in the Shade, to step away from what is daunting and see two sides of some matter, you must be able to organize your thought and perception processes to understand clearly each aspect on any debatable point or condition.  This is an art to be mastered, and achieving High results is based on not only the quality of available data, but the quality of your time and attention, and your ability to quantify that data comparatively, rationally, emotionally, and spiritually—across the boundaries of time, culture, belief, bias, and fears.

In the Shade, you are in the filtering of direct Light.  This effect is created by the interjection of objects between you, tangible—and sometimes UNtangible.  You may be standing in the Light, and still filtering its rays through the UNtangible effects of your own beliefs and ideas, that create osmotic-type properties which allow certain bits of information to pass through, and disallow other bits.

As certain as there is a cycle of Day and Night/ Light and Darkness, there is a cycle in you similar to your Circadian (mammalian) rhythms, that guides you through the exhalation and inhalation of new ideas.  These rhythms and breaths help to re-create you.  You have experienced these moments and called them epiphanies and wonderments.  When you have been in the presence of miracles or considered yourself spontaneously enlightened by something, you have felt the Light full upon you, UNimpeded by the filters of Shade.

Shade has its purpose, and its purpose is not to let idle the conditions and points to be made by the Light or the Darkness.  Do not sit in the Shade and say:  Both the Light and the Dark are wrong, and therefore only this condition in the middle can be right, or safe, or comfortable.  The very alive sparks of the Dark and Light are present, there with you and dancing.  They are books to be read; songs to be heard and sung.  They witness you.

What then, is Shade?  Shade is opportunity.  Consider it a comfort throne, a place where you may abide and study the particles of Light and Dark, seeking out that which they would teach you.  They dance together—not opposed even as opposites—but symbiotic.  They will tell you of your own conditions of Shade, those places inside you where the Dark and Light dance, where commingled properties meet to make master plans for the further unfolding of Great All.

Shade is a gift.  A time to study.  Shade is not a distractant.  It is not dilute.  It is a masterful singing of two powerful forces, meeting and playing out, inviting your study.

COMMENDATION

2015, GRATITUDE, TRUTH

COMMENDATION, GRATITUDE AND TRUTH
APRIL 9, 2015

Do you praise, or Commend, in equal measure to the Condemnation you share?  Commendation provides a lifting of Sprits; it is a vibration that is enjoyed by both the giver and the receiver.  Do not Commend falsely.  Commendation is the art of seeing what is beneficial, positive, well-done and helpful, and expressing gratitude about it or for it.

To Commend is to acknowledge an action or achievement, and its maker, in a way that is genuine—as a reflection for how that same reflects in the whole of Great All or in the measure of progress in some microcosm of the same.  To Commend a child for sharing something, unbidden, is liken to Commending a nation for sharing unbidden their resources to help others.

Commendation is not used for manipulation, to aggrandize, to level playing fields, or to falsely attune to peer standards.  Commendation is the pure act of seeing an action or achievement and being moved by it to the degree that from a place of respect (even silently, in your thoughts), you feel pulled to thank its maker.

What in your world today can you give your Commendation?  What can you give your world today, that will cause your world to give You its Commendation?

INTEMPERANCE

2015, BALANCE, WILL

INTEMPERANCE, WILL POWER, BALNCE
APRIL 8, 2015

When we lack the ability to apply our Will to our Purpose, streamlining our Behavior, Thoughts, and Actions to Right disciplines, Intemperance occurs.  Whether that means indulgences in food and drink, sexual endeavors, spending, or risky behaviors, a pattern of Intemperance can throw us from the path and keep us from the path, traveling indefinitely in circles.  How do we identify this, and how can we rectify it?

We have spoken to you before about circular thinking, and about looking for the places at which you attach your energies.  Begin there, in seeing where your patterns lie.  Quite often we attribute behaviors to part of our character—as colorful or unavoidable quirks—when we should be looking at these behaviors as aberrances and intruders.  Upon finding these impediments to Right-Willed behaviors and Positive-Growth behaviors, we should immediately begin to negate them.

Chocolate is a pleasure to those who crave it.  To have it in moderation is wonderful.  To have it in such quantities that it replaces nourishing food and disrupts the body’s chemistry is destructive.

To consume alcohol is a delight—until pleasure has become an addiction—until the body begins to suffer and fail—until the social and work life are lost to its effects.

To seek sex, drugs, violence, or other high levels of stimuli at addictive frequencies can bring ruin.  All of these examples are quite obvious.  But what of the quiet, tiny, and white-noise type behaviors that run disruptive programs in the backgrounds of our days and nights, working as silent directors, driving our lives without our conscious knowledge?

What of the small anxieties, covetous fears, arbitrators of low self-esteem, fear-based greed, indecision, bullying, manipulation, and silent hate that flows through our thoughts, and manifests in so many outcomes each day?  How many of these Intemperances—that we call human behavior and personality quirks—are self-allowed faults that keep us from personal and cosmic harmony?

Be honest; not perfect.  Be aware; not willfully blind.  Notice the plank in your own eye before pointing out the splinter in another’s.

This is not easy work.  It is painful.  It is destructive to the ego.  It is necessary.

Which of your behaviors is most circular, most tiring, most demanding?  Which behavior has you believing you are the least capable of changing?  That behavior is riding at the surface, waiting for your attention—demanding your attention.

Look at this behavior as an un-involved observer would study it, outside time and social restraint.  Can you see this behavior as if you have just come to your own culture from another time and another galaxy?  Can you see this behavior in the context of Great All, how it works, from the aspect of how it affects the person perpetrating the behavior, and how it affects those persons influenced by the behavior?  You will see that, observed in this way, the behavior looks very different to you.

Quite often, unmasking the behavior in its true form is the only thing needed to overcome its false power.  You will begin to un-power the behavior, and deconstruct its forms and pathways, those automatic responses it has created in your thought structures.  Let us say that you are working with a chocolate addiction.

You have just unmasked your ‘love of chocolate’ as a food addiction.  You now realize that you crave this substance, using it as both a reward and a punishment.  You realize that you eat this substance so often that you replace nourishing meals with its un-nourishing calories.  You have been told by health professionals that your teeth and your organs are suffering due to your chemistry levels.  What was once a ‘personality quirk,’ joked about with your friends, is now an Intemperance that you intend to correct.

Establishing the Intemperance is a crucial first step.  You understand that a behavior is out of balance.  The ideas of reward and punishment are universal and deeply rooted.  Treatises to deal with those matters are out of scope for these communications at this time.  Our intention is to make you aware of your subconscious habits, to understand that personality quirks and character flaws are often something more.

In the rules of microcosm/macrocosm, when we overpower anything through the use of Right Will, we form a template, an everlasting pattern that becomes part of our Song.  Encountering any emotional condition becomes more manageable when we have a frame of reference, a template onto which we may apply its main points and study it.  When we may look at things in the light, in diagram, in their reality if not their Truth, we have the opportunity to respond with greater authenticity.

FATIGUE

2015, BALANCE, FOCUS, REST

FOCUS AND FATIGUE
APRIL 7, 2015

From what source does the motivating force, and the energetic factors of Life come?  How are living things made animate?  How is it that you are here, reading this, enjoying a body that is alive, awake, aware, and busy with billions of separate processes?  In this stream of constant, re-circulating, reciprocating energies, how can one experience Fatigue?

First:  what is Fatigue?  When you believe you are Fatigued, can you pinpoint the source?  Is your physical vehicle lacking rest or nourishment; is it mal-aligned or dis-eased?  Do your memories or emotions torment you?  Is your Spirit at odds with your thoughts, behaviors, and actions?  How is your Fatigue made manifest?  In how many ways and conditions?

We must first point out to you that living in a mortal body has physical limitations, and that your current genetic mutations do not complement your current geopolitical and socio-economical ideals and beliefs.  You are a world of busy-doers and achievers.  You are worriers and strivers.  You war with yourselves and with others.  From the aspect of physical self, emotional self, rational self, and spiritual Self, these habits are circular, superficial, and non-growth oriented.

Your Highest Self holds its energy away from those conditions which do not serve the Highest Good of your Eternal Self and the Great All.  Eternal Self does not cast its lot with low behaviors.  Therefore, when you engage in low activities—beliefs, behaviors, and actions that oppose Eternal Self and Great All—you will remain to the greater degree, unfunded by its greater resources.

There must also be respect given to form.  You would not ask the apple tree to produce apples all year long, in all its seasons.  You would not ask the beasts of the field to plow each day without rest.  A well cannot supply beyond its capability, nor a dwelling hold more than it’s able.  There is a template in the mortal world for each receptacle and its purpose.  The function and form of each thing has a balance point, and to work optimally, that balance point should be met.

Draw too much water from the well today, and let the well recover tomorrow.  Take apples in the summer, and allow the apple tree to nourish itself for next summer’s bounty.  To plow your fields, give your beasts their food and rest—and do the same for your Self.  The balance point must be maintained.

Considering these points, ask your Self again:  are you Fatigued, or is your well taxed?  What is reasonable and what amount of burden takes you off your balance point?  How can this be corrected?

Look at your Life.  Test its priorities.  Measure your Beliefs against Truth.  To which entities is your personal energy connected?  How can you go to your sleep each night, not in deficit, but in a state of balance?

Release one activity or obligation that draws upon your energy without return.  Embrace one activity that honors your wholeness, bringing you closer to balance.  You will find your balance point when you have removed the governors on your incoming energies, and the strain on what you falsely share.

RIGHT OF WAY

2015, RIGHT WILL

RIGHT WILL AND GOLDEN RULE FOR SELF
APRIL 6, 2015

When you are in the Right, that is, using Right Will, you will find that your movements through life glide more often than they stutter.  When heart, mind, intention, and action, are dovetailed in your purpose, the path ahead clears for you.  You see the line of light laid out ahead, seamless and bright, ready for your advancement, with helpers placed along the way.

This is not to say that You will not experience times of darkness and not-knowing.  This is not to say that to feel alone and unsupported indicates that you are Wrong-Willed.  Sometimes, what is perceived as a negative experience, must be felt in all levels of the self, in order to tempor the reasoning, empathy, and compassion necessary to deal justly with others, and with life experiences.

Right Of Way is a precedent.  It is a Golden Rule for the Self, stating simply that the Spirit will give over more freely to that which is actively Good-Intentioned before it will give over to its opposite.  Think of how you feel upon completing something positive and inspiring as compared to lashing out with foul or hurtful behavior.  You feel harmony and satisfaction with the first; disharmony and dissatisfaction with the latter.

Right Of Way is a natural occurrence.  It cannot be bought, bartered, or otherwise traded upon.  It is not what happens in traffic or in grand processionals.  Right Of Way as we are discussing it with you, is the course of Spirit flowing forward, in accord with the harmony of Right Will.

Try for one week, acting from only Right Will in all that you do:  thinking from Right Will, applying yourself from Right Will.  Invite Right Of Way into your life and see how your life changes.
