BELIEF FLOW CHART
The human flow chart for understanding
the world:
See --à Describe
--à Identify
--à Categorize
--à Understand
--à Mythology
We see something, or it becomes known to us. Using our senses, experiences, and belief
system, we describe that thing, giving it an identity. That enables us to place it in a category,
which is what we must do to understand it. Animals, vegetable, or mineral? Good or bad? Enemy or
friend?
All of these perspectives are based on our mythology, what beliefs we hold to be true according to our senses, experiences, intuition, and social programming.

Is a bee good? When it’s pollinating our plants, yes. When it’s stinging, no. How can a
bee be both good and bad? Is the bee
confused, or are we confused? Maybe the
bee just is, and maybe the bee’s actions are just actions, neither good nor
bad.
How do we release ourselves from these judgments that do not serve us? How do we come to understand our experience for what it is? How do we begin to believe that time is a fable, and that solid objects are no more solid than we are?

---à---à---àBy
pulling one thread, it begins to unravel. By deconstructing our mythology, we begin to see that what we have woven
together is many colored threads, placing them according to the song in our
head.

And like a beautiful piece of
music,
we can take those many colors, those notes,
and
create a new tapestry,
one stronger and more beautiful,
one that when we finally
lay down upon it to dream,
our vision is clear.
