BLESSINGS

Do you know a Blessing when it arrives?

Do you look for Blessings in your Life?

A Blessing can be an act of goodwill or a fortunate occurrence, though it may not seem fortunate at the time of its arrival. Many times we can see this only after the corridor in our life has passed away, but can we train ourselves to recognize a Blessing as it occurs?

You can, yes. By being open to every interpretation of a circumstance in your life, you can consistently seek out how a Higher Purpose may be at work. You will not always see the Higher Purpose, and indeed, being subject to the self-will of billions of other desires, beliefs, and agendas, there may be little in the circumstance to personally benefit you.

But, how can you turn that around? How can you use what seems daunting or defeating to feed your muse, inspire your willpower, and infect your forward motion? You do it by looking from the bottom side up, by seeing something with new eyes, de-programmed from your socio-cultural beliefs, and open to possibilities.

The job you lost? If you are not under immediate threat, can you look for a new way to express your self in the world, possibly one better suited to your human agenda? Can you take some time to organize the details of your life and ratify new information into your goals? Can you see your self as larger and more effective?

We do not belittle difficult times, but when they are upon you, can you--will you--endeavor to keep your eye on the Light at the end of the tunnel? Can you leave the tunnel brighter, stronger, and wiser than you entered it?
