BENEDICTION
A Benediction is voiced when one wants to ask for guidance, protection, or assistance. It is not a prayer, but more of a statement, something akin to the ceremonial customs of Earth clans worldwide.
“And let there be Light”
“May Wisdom feed our every thought”
“May our fears be smaller than our courage”
It is a “so mote it be” kind of ending for communication with Higher worlds. One is stating what one would like to occur, for the self and/or for the Greater Whole. It is quite like Intention spoken aloud.
Benediction need not be paired with ceremony. It need not be grand. “Let my sleep be peaceful,” is a rather simple Benediction. “Let my deepest fears be revealed to me,” is more complex, and thusly should only be spoken when one is ready to attend to its possible influences in the Life.
When you speak Benediction you are drawing a line in your consciousness. You are making a statement about what you’d like to see happen. Do not take this lightly; not even in jesting.
People jokingly say this or that, in the extreme, not really meaning their words. But we tell you that words are powerful: they are outreachings of your thoughts and intentions. They are Will made into Action.
Do not say: “And may that person die a horrible death,” or “May that country be wiped from the Earth.” You have no idea how your personal energy might be actualized. You have no idea if what you have said might come to pass, and if you will have been part of what helped it come to pass.
Use the power of Benediction purely. Use it to create growth, and peace, and understanding—both within your self and outside your self.
This morning, could there be a better Benediction that this: “May I know Wisdom today and the Peace and Compassion needed to make those Wisdoms reality.”
Blessed Be This Day

For Discussion: Have you a catch-phrase you use that is belittling or hurtful to others--something you believe is said in jest--and therefore, should be accepted in good humor? Could you exchange hurtful phrases for uplifting ones? Name three phrases you could exchange or improve.
Words are Will made into Action. What words have you spoken this month that may have set themselves on a path that lives in opposition to your purpose?
What self-construction Benediction could you use now, today, that would uplift you in your life and create positive ripples for your community?
