FAITH VERSUS CONFIDENCE

~self-challenge as superior to belief

Faith is a belief founded in tradition, which is repetition, formed most often on the experiences of others rather than Self/self. Whether your Faith has come to you based on repetition, supposition, or witnessing, it began and probably still is, external to your core.

When you have Confidence, you go beyond Faith. That is not to say that Confidence may not fail you, just as Faith can fail you, but having Confidence comes from a self-observance which is more individual and reliable. 

You may have Faith that the sun will rise each morning, because you have witnessed this, or you may build Confidence of the sunrise according to how its cycles feel at your core: through meditation, knowing, and communication with the greater aspects of your planet.

Think of one thing that has your Faith. Why do you have Faith in this thing? How much of this Faith is built on a story that was handed down to you, that your community has assured you is correct? Does this Faith have two sides? If you do this good things will occur, and if you do that bad things will occur? Is your Faith-idea based in polarity?

Confidence is the ability to trust the Self/self in thought and action. It is the ability to release Self/self judgment and expectations of particular outcomes. It is the wisdom to feel your Self/self and your gifts in this world and apply them to the best of your abilities, while holding an open mind and an open heart.

Confidence is personal power utilized for action and change, even when limited to the Self/self.

Spend time testing one Faith-thought you hold as real. Now, self-challenge from every aspect you may mentally acquire, particularly those outside your culture and belief system. What do you find? 

Wherever Faith is holding you back; wherever Faith is limiting your world; wherever Faith is creating cosmically untrue beliefs, consider how you might grow by instead building Confidence with which to navigate your world.
