THE NIGHT FALL
Why is it said that the Night Falls, when just as surely the Morning is Rising? Is this not a matter for perspective? Is a glass that is half empty not also half full? And, can it be that these things just are, and in and of themselves are neither good nor bad?
Do you listen to your language as you apply it to that which you describe, and to that which you interact with in your world? Do you recognize when you have applied your language in such a way that its meaning is derogatory or desultory? Do you understand that language, whether thought or spoken, sums up your Beliefs about your Beliefs? Do you follow our meaning?
When we say that Night Falls, what do we mean? Do we mean that Night is above us, and that it begins to lose its grip, falling down towards the point at which we perceive it? Is this what we mean? More importantly: is this what we Believe?
How does Night Fall in your world? From which direction does it makes itself known? It is likely ruled by your landscape, and by your proximity to the earth’s equator, and by the cycle of the solar year in which you are its witness. As the sun appears to sink on the horizon, it might physically appear that the darkness follows it, Falling behind the light.
But Falling itself seems to indicate a condition that is less controlled that what actually occurs. Does Night Fall? Does Morning Rise? Are they opposed, or paired?
Think on this one phrase today, and perhaps you will think on other phrases that you say which are mere habit and repetition—and before Night Falls this eve, perhaps you will discover something about the power of your words, in ways or means not previously understood.
Blessed Be This Day
