TURBULENCE
When you encounter Turbulence in your life, what form does it take? Is it most often self-initiated or is it otherwise? Chaos itself is a necessary disruption, a force for un-making and re-making, a tool for the Creator and Co-Creator to draw upon in order to revision things.
Turbulence is the state of movement that happens during the change where things become less-than, more-than, and different-than what you have previously known or recognized. It can create a sort of hypnagogue of seeing and sensing that throws one off center and causes one to re-calculate and re-calibrate. It can be a dreamtime, or an awakening. It need not center itself in panic, doubt, remorse, and sadness—though, often, it does.
Turbulence can be the Tsunami that stirs the bottom of the sleeping ocean and brings to shore the ancient secrets of civilizations long buried there. It can be the hurricane that transplants the exotic plants with healing powers to cure a community’s strange woes. It can be the earthquake that shakes loose despondency, calling out the lion-hearted to help its survivors.
Turbulence can also be the biosphere gently shaken to strengthen its roots.
When Turbulence enters your Life, allow that you will be shaken. Lightly or at your core, this shaking will leave you changed. Accept it or not. Integrate it or not. Once change has changed you, you are changed . . .
Pretense and pretending serves nothing and no one. Ignore the boiling pot and it merely boils dry. As the flame continues, the pot cracks. Depending on the conflagration, the house may soon follow, or the village . . . maybe even its traditions, such as has happened with ‘lost’ civilizations.
Judge Turbulence for what it is when you meet it. Whether friendly to your causes or opposed, if Turbulence is upon you, wishing it away will do nothing. Meet it; study it; learn from it. How might this animal serve you, even in the smallest measure?
If you grow in strength and patience by knowing Turbulence, it has served you. If you learn to apply controlled Turbulence to that which you wish to re-make, hastening the old thing’s demise, It will serve you in great leaps.
Would you strengthen your roots? Turn the soil.
