TIME BOMBS

2020, MEMORIES, TRAUMA

TIME BOMBS

Some memories are tucked away in dangerous files.

They are explosive, rapturous. Opening them will undo us,

and thereby, undo our agendas.

Typically, Time Bombs are memories of extreme trauma. We have lost someone or something that was precious to us. We have made a cataclysmic decision. We have acted in such a way we feel time will never forgive us.

When you open this file, you will be flooded, taken over, made paralyzed or comatose. What can you do? How do you access this file, and change your relationship to it, without coming undone? How can you dis-empower a Time Bomb and allow the memory to stay intact? First: what is the relationship of this file to your present?

Is this file a Time Bomb because of something you have done (or not done), something that someone else has done (or not done), or something that seems circumstantial—non-purposeful but very hurtful?

If this Time Bomb is made from your actions, what have you done to correct the behaviors that led to the action or decision? Are your behaviors improved? Have you determined what caused you to behave in such a way or make such a decision?

If the Time Bomb is built from something done to you, have you forgiven? Have you separated your self from destructive forces? Have you freed your present from a repeat performance?

And if something has occurred that seems without sense, remorse, or pity—such as the loss of a child—what could this really mean? You know that each of us is a distinct Soul with a distinct set of probabilities and goals.

There is no reasoning how or why, but what does your suffering serve? You must look at this file from a greater, higher point of reference.

If you stay down in the minutiae of the file, searching each letter, you are lost to that world. Can you, a few words at a time, a few pictures at a time, change a file? Can you replace the anger and hatred with understanding? Can you replace regret with future hope? Can you replace pain with the love of the things that remain? Will you embrace the reality of reunion?

Time Bombs such as these keep us from moving forward and accomplishing our purpose. You must re-frame the files in order to heal. What is worse than a trauma, except for reliving that trauma over and over again? Love your self enough to see a trauma as just a part of the picture, not a line in the sand, a punishment, or a before-and-after fate.

We are here, and we want you whole and happy. Your life will never be free of trauma, so where you are having difficulty, ask for help. We are here, close as breath.

Blessed Be This Day
