MEAGERNESS
When
you see what is lacking, rather than what exists in abundance, you are in a
state of Meagerness. This is not to define Meagerness as a negative condition,
but to offer a balanced viewpoint regarding how we perceive things.
If you encounter a desert flower, you may see it as a miracle, and you may see it as an anomaly. If you merely observe, rather than weighing what-is and what-isn’t, you see that a beautiful flower has bloomed in the desert.
If
you see the flower as a struggling and lonely entity, you see that plant from a
perspective of Meagerness—but what if you use this perception to aid other—helpful—plants
grow in the desert—to do good for the desert residents? You can test for
Meagerness of the soil and water, and amend for greater plant success.
Or—could
you look more deeply at the layers which form the entire picture—and understand
how this snapshot of the desert flower affects the greater whole? It is this
way in life. You may experience Meagerness of money. Does this Meagerness exist
because your financial obligations are so large, your income is so small, or
both? You might even believe that you and your abilities are Meager.
But—what
if you decided that you are worthy of greater financial ease? What if you
decided that your fear was greater than your feelings of security—that you want
to keep exchanging with the devil you know, rather than striking a new path?
What if you decided to slip your inner script, and transform Meagerness of
Spirit into Abundance of Spirit?
What
if you use your perceptions of Meagerness as a tool for higher clarity and
purpose, and a way to determine where your weak points lie? Today, use your
perceptions of Meagerness to begin a new path.
