      When you grasp the concept of Compassion, you have often increased your ability for Patience.  When you show Love, you also give Compassion.  When you open your heart with Kindness, you often become a good listener.  This is Dovetailing—the fingering together of objectives, qualities and tasks that pair, complement and predispose one another towards an end result.

     Can you love a child without showing gentleness?  Can you give fair counsel to a person in pain when your own heart is unschooled in loss?  Is wisdom available to the person who is not able to hear for the ready availability of their own pat answers, or one who is closed by fear?

     What is surrender without Faith?  Who are You?  What are you doing Now, in this moment?  How many tasks can you calculate?  Are you listening? deciding? weighing? questioning? remembering?

     Dovetailing is not multi-tasking.  Multi-tasking leaves the heartsource and fans out in many directions, randomly, its only connection the power sending it forward.  Dovetailing makes loops out and away from the heartsource, returning again and again, helping, asking:  How can I, with my skills and knowledge, help in these other tasks?

     Dovetailing is a beautiful melody, waiting for the chorus, voices, instruments, and a conductor.  It is grace, walking.  It is a myriad of bright and beautiful, ingenious filaments of light twisted into a dance of harmonic convergence that says, always, yes . . . (we will not talk of using these gifts otherwise)

    Just as We (Tribe) provide points of reflection for you, so can each of you provide those points for one another, providing for another garden where a particular plant is absent. 

     Let your Light dance together and your music be merry.

APOGEES

     The point from which you are most distanced from some thing, as the moon is most distanced from the Earth in its natural orbit each cycle—that is an Apogee. Both points are relative; both are cyclical. This can be perceived as a matter of perception: such as the moon appearing smaller in the sky when its distance from the Earth is greater . . . such as the Belief that your goal is greatly distanced from where you are, or wherever you are . . . also a matter of perception. 

     Distance can be measured in both time and in space, but when we feel distanced from something, it is likely our emotions inciting us to feel dissatisfaction that our desire and our present are not currently commingled. We want what we want when we want it—and usually that is now—in our present. Apogees, greatest distances, as far as our desires are concerned, never suit us.

     What about hurry and worry: how does it feel to place those emotions at an Apogee? How does it feel to place hatred, anger, fear, jealousy, and rage at an Apogee? Can we acknowledge these conditions, like the light of the moon, knowing that they are connected to us, part of us and our light, shining down on us and through us, and yet, at safe enough distances so that we can respond to their powerful forces rather than being controlled by them?

     What memories and former connections active in your present, can be liberated to an Apogee while you complete your journey with them? With less distraction, the goals and desires that have long been lodged at their own Apogees become merely distant, and then far, closing until they are just over there, and then . . . here, with you.

     The greatest question is: what is the Apogee between you/You and your Belief in your self/Self?  

Look to your horizon and your most distant dreams.  
Fold that distance.  Fold it again and again 
until it fits perfectly into your Present.

PERIGEES

2014, ILLUSION, PERCEPTION

     What is illusion--and what is real, but comparative; and what is the difference?  An Apogee, as related to the relative distance of the Moon from the Earth—as farthest point—and the Perigee, the relative distance of the Moon from the Earth as closest point, are two very good examples of this concept.

     The size of the Moon in fact, has not changed, but if photographed from the same place on Earth, under the same circumstances with the same equipment, you can see that the moon of an Apogee is quite smaller than the moon of a Perigee.  The Perigee is much larger, and what is sometimes called a “Super Moon.”  This perception is a matter of distance and relationship.

     What other matters in life can be said to be directly entangled by the concepts of distance and relationship?  Are certain factors in your life, observed at certain points, larger appearing than at other times?  What other factors are in play when you notice this to be true in your life?

     Are you inflating something in your field of vision that should be given only regular or even casual attention?  Are you focused too much on a minor player to whom you have given a starring role?  Have you made of a sow’s ear, a silk purse?

     Cycles are cyclical for pertinent reasons.  Contraction and expansion move in natural attunement to breath.  Just as daylight must have night and up must have down, the elliptical nature of an orbit will bring bodies close together and then further apart.  Move with this cycle and feel its natural ease.  

     Staring too long into the sun causes blindness.  To see the moon only as large, especially falsely large, on the horizon, becomes a Perigee of unhappiness for the Spirit.  

Enjoy the cosmos in its many moods and wonders, in its Perigees and Apogees, in the lifts and falls of its symphonies.

GOAT HERDING

2014, THE PRESENT

     How humble a job, you think. Watching over dull animals who need little but an occasional nudge, so little you find yourself daydreaming. Of what do you dream? Do you dream of a life that is faster and more glamorous, accepting that it comes with more responsibility and less time for daydreaming?

     Throughout all time, many a goatherd has dreamed of a different life, and the life that he dreamed, being lived by another, had its own dreamer who dreamed of the goatherd’s simple life. Why do we stand here, inside our selves, and look away, thinking that we would rather have what is outside our selves in the moment?

     It is our human nature, and not all together negative, to want something more than what we have in the moment—in most moments. To rise and grow and conquer ourselves, facing fears and deconstructing our false mythologies, we must see into the places that live beyond where we now stand. 

We must see beyond our flock of five to the flock of fifty, with weavers and dyers and drivers and stalls.  We must grow our selves/Selves.

     And all the while we are Becoming: becoming awake and aware, we must remain able to stay awake and aware of where we are Now. Now is the point at which we find ourselves, always. Without fail, Now is the place and the purpose, guided by our High Selves, Tribe Members, Guides, Angels, and other cosmic means, that gives us meaning. From Now, all roads depart, all signs point.

     Bring your Future into your Now. Do not leave your Now to go into your Future. There are those who can make such quantum leaps, but we are not speaking to them. We are speaking to You, who are growing your Selves in conscious increments, one gain at a time. Do not dwell so on your destination that you miss the sweet smell of the grass under your feet, the starlight, and the lowing of the animals.

     Bless your job and your place for what they are—not in comparison to what others have or what others are doing. Let your Now be singular. If you can’t bless your job or your place, is it due to false cosmology, false expectations, or ego concerns—or is your Spirit urging you to move forward?

     A happy trillionaire is no happier than a happy goatherd. An unhappy trillionaire is no unhappier than an unhappy goatherd. Their circumstances differ. Possibly, the people that they effect are affected differently in number and proportion. However you make your way in this genus of Earthly life, you herd something: services, products, or other things of valuation.

     Who are you in your Now—Now?  What is your current level of satisfaction in your Life, in all of the ways that matter: body, Spirit, emotion, community, Purpose, and faith?  You cannot correct falseness and disquiet through avoidance and denial.  

Take stock. Will you enjoy tonight’s starlight?

MOVING THE MOUNTAIN

2014, DOGMA, FAITH

     You sit in the meadow lamenting the day. The Mountain is beautiful, you say, but it will not move. You haven’t the strength of the mustard seed or the faith of the violet, who rise up like a warrior to face the day. Is it myth that this mountain will move at your will? What is a mountain?

     Think of the ages that have been and that will be. How many times has the face of Earth changed? How many times in your own body have cells replicated, died, and given themselves to new cells? It is not the nature of Life to be static. Life is movement and therefore, change. Today’s mountain is tomorrow’s valley.

Today’s canyon is tomorrow’s river. And the mountain is in you, always.

     What does this mean? It means that seismic activity is the harmonic underpinning of Earthly Life. Contraction and expansion is the breath of Great All. Vertical lift is required for the fall. To move the Mountain, you must allow for the seismic activity that it will require, the vertical lift of some matters and the fall of others.

     When we Move the Mountain, we displace whatever we have frozen in our thoughts and beliefs, our dogmatic holding onto the illusions of static continuance, traditions and permanence. We allow for the volcanic eruption that is needed, or for the release of pressures that cause the upthrust plates to glide gracefully back to a horizontal plane. Either route moves the mountain.

     Do you sit at this moment, reading these words from your mountain? Is it kind there? Have you placed yourself atop your mountain for the High view, or have you escaped, hoping to save the mountain from its natural erosion? What name has your mountain, and what purpose? Feel the Earth as you sit. What is the nature of Her Song?

She will tell you.

CURSES

     Do Curses exist?  To answer this, you must first define the nature of a Curse.  Is a Curse a string of words, a wish, or a living entity?  To what level must the energy of a person or animate entity be invested in a directed, active force in order for that force to override the natural, protective boundaries and free will of the person or place for which the maladaptive energy is intended?

     First, let us remind ourselves of the nature of Love:  the inborn goodwill and co-creative urge of the Great All that perpetuates the movement and continuation of existence.  Is Hate the opposite of Love?  Is a Curse the opposite of Love?  Neither Hate nor a Curse is the opposite of Love.  Love is the prime force.  Hate is an abhor-ation, deviation, and denial of what is.  Hate is grounded in fear, gluttony, jealousy, and destruction: smaller and mortal emotional measures.

     A Curse can also be grounded in those same or similar, small and mortal emotional measures.  But more, and sometimes worse, a Curse can also rise from the subconscious, unthoughtful and misguided belief system of an untrained or falsely trained group mind.  “You will never succeed in life without a college education,” stated as fact, carries with it, the energy of a Curse.

•     If you are not saved by the tenets of my religion, you will burn forevermore in agony
•    Like your parents, you will never amount to anything
•    Set your sights too high and you set yourself up for disappointment
•    You are not meant to be happy in this life; you are meant to be responsible
•    Our people are superior; we must show our ways to others however it is necessary
•    I created these circumstances in my life and must deal with them alone

     Your sciences show you with greater detail and enthusiasm as the years pass, how energy transfers through thought and action.  Plants that are soothsayed blossom and bloom, while those who receive negative messages wither and die.  Newborns deprived of touch fail to gain weight.  Widows and widowers die soon after their spouses.  War begets war.

     When you say a thing with authority, you create within the vibratory space of the Great All, a pattern of that thought and belief.  When you say to your neighbor:  I see you; I believe in you; I stand with you; I will help you; Let us help the world together, you are creating a vibration that sings into the great harmony something uplifting.  It is a joy to stand in the presence of that energy.

     When you say a thing with authority that states a vision of destruction, creating also a pattern of that thought belief, the song it sings into the harmony hits notes that hurt the very chords onto which you were sung.  It makes your heart hurt.  You have felt this when you received bad news, when you have suffered and felt loss, when someone wounded you.  That is the energy of Cursing.

     What is a Curse?  It is the singing of a thread, a thought, a wish, purposefully or subconsciously, into the vibratory space of Great All, that affects others in a way that is negative and hurtful.  Yes, it can be pointedly personal and dramatic—but it needn’t be.  You can point your finger at a child and scream, “Stupid!” and that vibration will haunt that child long after that body has passed the child growth and become an adult.

     What is a Curse?  Think long on this.  It is harm-doing.  It may be so whitewashed inside the picket fences of your socio-cultural programming, you fail to see it.  Look for it now, in all of the comfortable places you call home and Belief.  It is there, we promise you.  Any time you think yourself more or better, your are Cursing others for being less.

     Any time you believe that your ways are higher, you are Cursing someone for their place on the path.  Any time you fail to support the Love that you shelter, that great engine of Life that is entrusted you to bear for all of Eternity—you do not support Love.  It is that simple.

LOVE IS AN IMPETUS

          (NOT A DESCRIPTOR)

  

When you think of all the wonders of the world and beyond it, do you see those wonders in your Self? Do you see the perfectly balanced harmonies in the song that came together at your singing into existence? Do you know that Love is an impetus, a force, a primary function of Life that is basic and all-inclusive?

You believe that you seek Love, labor for Love, sacrifice for Love, are blinded by Love and slighted by Love. Love is an impetus. IT is. You are IT and IT is you, entwined. Love, entwined within you as an impetus, makes all of the first statements false. Love is never false or absent. You will never be blinded by Love, nor slighted by Love, nor asked to labor or sacrifice for it.

If your experience in Life has shown you a false face on Love, you are gazing at a mask that the human ego has used to paper over the true aspects of the Love Impetus. Love itself is not corruptible. It is the entity inside which it abides that is corrupt. It is the entity which holds the spark of Love that colors the veils outside it, that misrepresents it, that attends it with false labels.

Said simply: Love is pure. People are false.

Do you love your neighbor? Do you love that vase? Do you love this day? Do you love that carcass in the road? Do you love the victim and the slayer equally? How label you Love, and why? Have you taken the largest creative force known in Great All and compressed it into a tiny word? Have you now made that word tepid and false, random and ubiquitous? It’s no wonder that people are confused.

What is Love?

Love is the prime impetus of All there is. It is the propulsion, automation and animation that keeps the first spark moving and adapting and perpetuating. Love is Life and Aliveness. Love is the foodstuff and energy and mechanics that allow for movement and transmutation. It is the breath that causes expansion and contraction. Love is the magical ingredient. The prime mover. The divine source. The ultimate.

And yes, it is in You; in all of Us. Seek not outside your Self for Love. It is there inside you, where it was born into you. The more you connect to the Love outside yourself, the more cognizant you grow with the Love inside—the brighter leaps its fires.

See Love as the Impetus that it is. 

Feel that Impetus. 

Let it lead you. 

Love is ever pure.
